Vooki Pro is a desktop DAST scanner with local AI-assisted triage. Invicti, Acunetix (now marketed by Invicti as Invicti Web + API) and StackHawk are three widely-used DAST platforms, each with a genuinely different architecture — this page compares Vooki Pro against each on its own terms. It compares deployment models — where data and AI processing live, and whether that matters for your compliance or risk model — not security quality.
Vooki Pro runs on your machine against whatever it can reach, with no separate component to install. Invicti's and Acunetix's cloud editions use an installed internal agent to reach non-public targets; their on-premises editions run inside your own infrastructure, and Invicti's on-premises edition also supports internal scan agents. StackHawk's default mode runs on your own CI host or machine — similar for execution — though results are collected on the StackHawk Platform.
Vooki Pro keeps scan data in a local database by default and doesn't automatically upload it to Vookify; selected findings leave your machine only through integrations you configure (ticketing, Slack or a webhook) or in reports you export. All three competitors' cloud/default editions send results to their own cloud dashboard; only Invicti's and Acunetix's dedicated on-premises editions keep results on your infrastructure.
Invicti's on-premises documentation states that AI-aided DAST and PCI ASV scans aren't available in on-premises deployments; internal scan agents are supported. Acunetix, now marketed as Invicti Web + API, lists Predictive Risk Scoring — a pre-scan machine-learning risk estimate — and AI-assisted remediation guidance. ThreatLens is AI triage that runs on your own machine.
| Capability | Vooki Pro | Invicti | Acunetix (now Invicti Web + API) | StackHawk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deployment | Desktop only | Cloud (SaaS) or on-premises | Cloud (SaaS) or on-premises (Acunetix 360) | CLI/Docker on your own CI host/machine by default; optional vendor-hosted mode |
| Reaching internal/local targets | Runs on your machine by default — no separate component | Cloud edition: installed internal agent, outbound-only. On-premises edition: runs inside your infrastructure; internal scan agents are supported | Cloud edition: installed internal agent. On-premises edition: its own agent/application-server architecture runs entirely inside your infrastructure | Default mode: scanner runs on your own CI host against your own target (e.g. localhost), no agent |
| Scan data storage | Local by default, not automatically uploaded — selected findings and HTTP evidence leave only through integrations you configure (ticketing, Slack, webhook) or reports you export | Cloud dashboard by default; on-premises edition keeps data on your infrastructure | Cloud dashboard by default; on-premises edition keeps data on your infrastructure | Collected on the StackHawk Platform; the CLI can also print results as JSON (--json-output) |
| AI-assisted triage | Included — local, offline | AI-aided DAST; not available in on-premises deployments (nor are PCI ASV scans) | Predictive Risk Scoring (pre-scan ML risk estimate) and AI-assisted remediation guidance | AI-powered application discovery on the StackHawk Platform, plus agent skills and an MCP server for AI coding assistants |
| REST API scanning | Included | Included (OpenAPI/Swagger/RAML/WADL/Postman) | Included (OpenAPI/Swagger/RAML/WADL/Postman) | Included (REST, GraphQL, SOAP, gRPC) |
| Pricing model | Flat annual license per domain — see pricing | Quote-based; Invicti says pricing depends on capabilities, coverage, deployment options and services | Quote-based (Web + API) | Security-team plan (StackHawk Scale): quote-based ("Talk to us"), priced by team rather than usage. Wingman by StackHawk ($10/user/month) is a separate plan for developers shipping with AI coding agents, not the security-team offering |
| Multi-team RBAC / centralized dashboard | No shared multi-user dashboard — each install keeps its own local workspace; licenses are per domain with no seat limits | Included — custom roles, broad permission set | Included — comparable architecture to Invicti | StackHawk Scale ("Teams, roles, and enterprise support"); not listed for Wingman |
Competitor capabilities are described from each vendor's public documentation as of 23 October 2026.
Invicti's and Acunetix's cloud editions scan internet-facing targets directly; for internal targets, both require an installed agent making an outbound-only connection back to the vendor's cloud. Their on-premises editions run the whole platform inside your own infrastructure, and Invicti's on-premises edition also supports internal scan agents. StackHawk's default model runs HawkScan — a Docker container — directly on your own CI host or machine against a target you control, often localhost in a pipeline. Vooki Pro doesn't need any bridging concept at all: it's a desktop app running wherever you run it.
Invicti and Acunetix both offer dedicated on-premises editions that keep results on your infrastructure end-to-end. Their default/cloud editions — including agent-scanned internal targets — upload results to the vendor's cloud dashboard. StackHawk's documentation describes results as collected on the StackHawk Platform, including for CLI-run scans; the CLI can also print results as JSON with --json-output. Vooki Pro stores results only in its local database — there's no vendor cloud to opt into — though integrations you configure can send selected findings (tickets include the HTTP request and response evidence) to your ticketing or chat tools, and reports you export go wherever you send them.
Invicti's on-premises overview states that AI-aided DAST capabilities and PCI ASV scans aren't available in on-premises deployments, while internal scan agents are supported — so choosing full data residency with Invicti means giving up its AI-aided DAST. Acunetix, now marketed as Invicti Web + API, lists Predictive Risk Scoring, a pre-scan machine-learning estimate of application risk, and AI-assisted remediation guidance for findings.
The real trade-off is centralized multi-team management on vendor-operated infrastructure (the cloud platforms) versus scan data stored on hardware you directly control (Vooki Pro, or the on-premises editions of Invicti and Acunetix, with their documented feature trade-offs). Choose the model that matches where your scan data and AI processing need to live.
Desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux), local storage by default, not automatically uploaded to Vookify (selected findings leave only through integrations you configure or reports you export), AI local after a one-time model download, scanning needs no internet beyond the target (license re-validation needs periodic connectivity; neither it nor the model download sends scan data). Annual per-domain license (see pricing); trial requests reviewed by the team before issuing the license.
SaaS or on-premises edition (AWS/Azure/GCP/private cloud); the on-premises edition supports internal scan agents but not AI-aided DAST or PCI ASV scans. Quote-based pricing.
Same cloud + on-premises architecture family as Invicti (Acunetix 360 On-Premises); quote-based pricing; listed AI features are Predictive Risk Scoring and AI-assisted remediation.
CLI/Docker run by you (default) or an optional vendor-hosted mode; results are collected on the StackHawk Platform, and the CLI can also print them as JSON. The security-team plan, StackHawk Scale, is quote-based and priced by team; Wingman by StackHawk ($10/user/month) is a separate developer plan for AI coding-agent workflows.
You want to test local/internal targets without any agent or network-exposure decision to make, you want scan data to stay on hardware you control by default, and you want one predictable annual price.
You're scanning many applications across multiple teams and need centralized RBAC and a shared dashboard — a real strength neither Vooki Pro nor StackHawk's developer-focused Wingman plan replicates — and you're comfortable with cloud-hosted results, or you've budgeted for their dedicated on-premises edition and its documented feature trade-offs.
Your team is already CI/CD-native and wants a scanner-as-code workflow — with quote-based, team-priced StackHawk Scale for security-team coverage, or the published per-user Wingman plan for developers working with AI coding agents — and you're comfortable with scan results being collected on the StackHawk Platform even though execution happens on your own infrastructure.
